That's mAirList

mAirList is an easy-to-learn, easy-to-use radio automation software for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista, designed for the small but professional radio station.

Highly customizable

You can define an unlimited number of players, which are organized in an unlimited number of playlists. Additionally, mAirList offers you an optional cartwall, again with an unlimited number of slots (cart players). Simple two-player live assist studio? Multi-playlist dual-screen mode? Standalone 100-slot cartwall? Anything is possible.

If you do not like the default layout, you can customize the way mAirList looks like, with a simple .ini file: change the color position of any screen object, the way you like it.

Broadcast with a single click

You can insert any audio file by just dragging it from Windows Explorer or the built-in browser windows. Additionally, mAirList offers interfaces to your local iTunes database and the mAirList sister projects eldoDB and radioDB. You can save the playlists, browser windows and cartwall sets and restore them easily the next time you're on air.

Many file formats supported

mAirList relies on BASS.DLL as its default playback engine. BASS.DLL supports WAV, MP3, MP2, MP1, AIFF and OGG playback, with add-ons available for additional file formats (e.g., WMA and AC3).

Works with your hardware

mAirList does not need any special hardware. It works with any Windows compatible sound card. If you have WDM drivers (which virtually any modern sound card has), you can use the stereo output pairs separately, so you get four output channels on a cheap 7.1 sound card. Additionally, mAirList supports ASIO for low-latency output on professional sound hardware.

Integrates into your studio

All functions of mAirList can be controlled by various remote control mechanisms. You can define arbitrary hotkeys, let mAirList react on customizable MIDI events, or use your game port to receive fader start signals sent by your broadcast mixer. Even a SOAP interface for remote control over a network is available.

Active development

Although maintained by a single person, mAirList is actively developed, with rapidly growing functionality. The author is always happy to include the feature you like, in order to make mAirList the best solution for you broadcasting needs. At any time, there are two versions available: A stable version for production use, and a development version in which new features are integrated and tested.

It's small!

The downloadable mAirList distribution is just over 2 MB in size. Simply unzip, configure and use it. The configuration is stored in an INI file; your Registry stays clean. You can easily setup different mAirList versions with different configurations in different directories at the same time, they won't interfer with each other.

It's free! (for non-commercial use)

Yes, mAirList is free! If you don't earn any money with it, I don't want your money either. Commercial licenses are available as well. See the Licensing page for details.
